This programs focuses on reducing gender gaps in sports leadership and decision making spaces TWISF believes that the status and descriptive representation of women in sports decision-making spaces calls for a radical transformation in the hetero normative structures , therefore TWISF provides space for structurally silenced persons to grow each other and accelerate the pace of change and inspire the next generation of women leaders, use the sports principle to mentor women leaders and deploy the feminist leadership principles to enable us create the next generation of leaders. A few structurally silenced persons in leadership positions are persistently scrutinized on issues as broad-ranging as their suitability and capabilities to undertake sports leadership roles, considered subordinate to cisgender men in leadership, and experience disproportionate visibility and systemic discrimination. Despite efforts that women have made in sports there needs to be more interventions geared towards addressing structural inequalities because if we don’t work towards closing gender gaps in sports structurally silenced persons will remain underrepresented and with limited influence in sports decision-making.
